Guest talk: Growing up bilingual in today’s Polish-American family, 6th November

A talk by Eliza Sarnacka-Mahoney, will take place in room 2.014 on 6th November, 13:15. 

The talk will focus on the key challenges facing parents and educators of bilingual children in Polish-American families in the United States today. Among them: the rapid rise of mixed (OPOL) families in Polish communities, the critical role of the non-Polish speaking parent in the process of Polish language learning by a bilingual child and the urgent need to reinvent the Polish supplementary school in the new changing environment.
