Abstract:
This talk will explore the pedagogical implications stemming from the rapid expansion of bi/multilingual education programmes in Spain over the last two decades. I will outline the main achievements, but will focus on the challenges ahead, mainly the support for multilingual classrooms and the teaching of additional languages in the pre-primary stage. On this last respect, I will provide an overview of Proyecto I+D LEyLA (Ref. PID2021-123055NB-I00), of which I am currently taking part.
